Joel Garcia created the first emoji flag of Sioux Falls to spread and promote to the community about the history and unity the flag of Sioux Falls shares.
In an effort for the community to accept the flag many efforts were made.
The flag of Sioux Falls was created in 2018 when the city did not find entry to the ratings of NAVA flag rater.
